Refund & Returns Policy

We want you to feel confident shopping with My Bricktopia. This policy explains how we handle faulty products, change-of-mind returns, and refund requests. We accept returns and refunds for both faulty and non-faulty products, subject to the conditions outlined in this policy.

My Bricktopia is operated by R&B Concepts Limited, a New Zealand–registered business.

1. Faulty Product Returns

1.1 Reporting a fault

Our LED light kits are covered by a 2-year warranty against manufacturing defects. Within 2 years of delivery, if your kit is confirmed to be faulty under normal use, we will repair or replace the affected components, or offer a refund where repair/replacement is not possible.

If you believe your product is faulty, please contact us as soon as possible at info@mybricktopia.com. To help us assess the issue, we may ask for:

  • Your full name and order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photos
  • A short video showing the fault

1.2 Outcome for confirmed faults

If a fault is confirmed, we will, at our discretion, offer a repair, replacement, or a refund to the original payment method.

1.3 When a product is not considered faulty

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Incorrect installation or misuse
  • Modified cables, components, or wiring
  • Use outside recommended conditions

2. Change of Mind Returns

2.1 Eligibility

Change-of-mind returns apply to non-faulty products. Faulty products are handled under Section 1 of this policy and are also eligible for refunds where applicable. We accept change-of-mind returns when all conditions below are met:

  • You contact us within 30 days of delivery
  • The product is unused and uninstalled
  • All components and accessories are included
  • The product is returned in its original packaging

2.2 Shipping costs

  • Return shipping is paid by the customer
  • Original shipping fees are not refunded

2.3 Inspection and refusal

We may refuse returns where the product is used, installed, damaged, incomplete, or not in saleable condition.

2.4 Non-returnable items

We are unable to accept returns for:

  • Gift cards
  • Items returned with missing or heavily damaged components
  • Products damaged due to incorrect installation or modification

3. Refund Requests & Order Issues

3.1 Parcels marked delivered but not received

Please check with neighbours and household members, then contact the courier. If the courier confirms delivery with proof, My Bricktopia is generally not liable for loss after delivery.

3.2 Pre-order cancellations

  • Orders can be cancelled for a refund if requested at least 48 hours before dispatch.
  • Within 48 hours of dispatch or after dispatch, the request may fall under change-of-mind rules.

3.3 Incorrect address details

  • If an incorrect address was entered at checkout, we cannot refund parcels that are delivered to that address.
  • If the parcel is returned to us, we can reship it (additional shipping fees may apply) or refund the product price only.
  • In some cases, we may offer a discount on a replacement order.

4. How to Start a Return

  1. Contact us
    Email info@mybricktopia.com within 30 days with your name, order number, reason for return, and photos or a short video if the item is faulty.

  2. Prepare your return
    Once approved, we will provide the correct return address for your region. Returns sent without approval may not be accepted.

  3. Send the parcel
    Change-of-mind returns require customer-paid shipping. Faulty items will be handled according to the outcome of our assessment.

5. Processing Time & Refunds

  • Once your refund request has been approved and the returned item has passed inspection, the refund will be processed within 15 business days.
  • We will notify you by email once your refund has been issued or if your return cannot be accepted.

6. Additional Terms

6.1 Return addresses

Our return addresses differ by region. The correct return address will be provided once your request is approved.

6.2 Shipping delays

Delivery times are estimates only. Delays may occur due to customs processing, weather events, or carrier issues. These factors are outside our control and are not usually eligible reasons for a refund.
